Our 5th Anniversary at Kohl's Ranch

Robert and I decided to take a last minute trip for our 5th anniversary. Within 30 minutes of him getting home from work we made reservations at Kohl's Ranch Resort, packed up, and headed out of town.

It was the perfect place to take Luke. There were 3 garbage cans in our room. Luke spent the first two hours playing with them.

Then he made a few calls to the front desk.

Then he disappeared...

and reappeared! There he is! Nothing like playing in a bathroom vanity!

The next morning we headed out for a walk.

We found the horses. Luke had his eye on something else...

Was it the black pony???

Of course not! There were 3 big garbage cans!

After pulling him away from the garbage cans he waved goodbye to the horses.

Then he rode one himself! Clearly we would not leave the room with his hair like that, just from looking at his expression it was the horse that was giving him a wild ride.

Then he rode backwards.

We found stairs to play on for a 1/2 hour.

Found a spot for a family picture. There's no telling what Luke's expression will be by the time a self timer goes off.

Then we let him play dangerously close to the water.

He enjoyed trying to splash the camera.

They watched leaves sail away.

And we walked some more.

Until he was too tired to walk.

So we headed back home.
