Luke's 1st Birthday!!!

I always thought big birthday parties for a one year old were silly. A small family get together would be just fine. But as Luke got closer to turning one I realized that he wasn't any regular one year old, he was my one year old. A small family birthday just wouldn't do. Clearly I needed to invite friends that were his age too. Does that make me one of those moms?
Connor showed him how to open presents.

Luke loved the xylophone!

After the xylophone got taken away he didn't see much of a point in opening the rest of the presents. Grandma tried to talk him back into it.

Hayden, Hadley and Ella showed off their pretty party dresses.

Luke spent some time with the girls in the ball pit. (quite the ladies man)

Bob entertained the group by racing Connor on the bouncy horse.

Then Connor joined the group in the ball pit.

Time for cake! He was a little upset about leaving his toys in the other room but he got over it quickly when he realized everyone was singing and clapping for him!

The first taste. Just a little bit.

Then he kind of reached into the cake and took bites from the center.
And then he had half the cake in his mouth! Delicious! (notice that he even got some on the wall behind him)

What a wonderful birthday!
